Madeleine McCann investigation to continue as British Home Office grants further funding




The British Home Office has confirmed that it is to provide extra funding in order to continue the Madeleine McCann investigation.

According to Sky News, the Home Office confirmed that is to allocate further funding to investigators working on the case.

The news of extra funding comes as the Metropolitan Police Service submitted a request for extra funds in March.

Although exact figures have yet to be revealed, it is reporteded that investigatiors on Operation Grange will receive in the region of £300,000 to continue their investigations.

The operation which began in 2011 has cost more than £11m pounds to date.

It is expected that the latest funding will continue the search for Madeleine who went missing in Praia de Luiz in 2007, until March 2020.
