UK Foreign office warns Muslim terrorists likely to attack tourists in Spain and other Mediterranean countries this Summer

The UK’s intelligence services, MI5 and MI6, have issued a joint memo warning that Muslim terrorists are plotting Sri Lanka style attacks on British citizens abroad, particularly in popular holiday destinations.

Britain’s Foreign Office issued the warning that there is a serious threat posed to British soldiers abroad as well as civilian holidaymakers in Spain, the Tenerife in particular, and Turkey.

Other countries were Islamic State sympathisers are supposedly plotting attacks on tourists are Greece, Morocco and Tunisia.

Muslim terrorist Seifeddine Rezgui killed 38 tourists including 30 UK citizens at a beach resort near Sousse in Tunisia in June 2015 while in in 2017 Younes Abouyaaqoub killed 13 people car ramming attack in Barcelona.

In 2016 yet another Muslim drove a truck loaded with tons of metal into crowds of families gathered to watch a fireworks display on a promenade in Nice killing 86 and injuring 458 others.

The memo from the Foreign Office warns that “Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Spain.”

It goes on to say

“The Spanish authorities take measures to protect visitors, but you should be vigilant and follow the instructions of the authorities.”

Experts have warned that since the Islamic State was defeated on the ground in Syria and Iraq it is likely to redirect the bulk of its remaining resources to engaging in terrorist attacks against Western countries and interests as well as trying to inspire more “lone wolf” attacks.

The Easter attacks against hotels and Catholic churches in Sri Lanka which killed 253 people wounded over 500 marks the beginning of a new strategy from the radical Muslim terrorist organisation.
