With the tribunal wrapped up, and €158 million later, all sensitive findings will be locked away in a vault somewhere for the next 30 years or so.

Chairman Mr. Justice Alan Mahon is expected to officially confirm in the near future the finalization of the tribunal’s activities and its final dissolution.

The Manon Tribunal was setup in 1997 to look into alleged corruption in planning, and prompted the resignation of former taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

Under the National Archives Act, the material contained in the tribunal’s final report may be published 30 years after the tribunal’s dissolution.
