There’s major concern today forĀ 126 coronavirus patients in the Republic of Ireland who’ve been placed in intensive care units.

It’s understood that since last Sunday week, 97 coronavirus cases that were declared in the Republic of Ireland today have been rushed to Intensive Care Units.

AtĀ last evening’s briefing to the press,Ā the HSEĀ announced that there a number of people in intensive care units after contracting coronavirus.

It’s understood that testing is to be ramped up to 5,000 in the coming days as opposed to what the HSE is currently doing, 1,500.

There will be a press briefing later today and The Liberal will be publishing an update at that time.
