
The murder investigation into Jo Jo Dullard’s disappearance is being stepped up, and a search is underway on open territory near Grangecon in County Wicklow, reports RTE.
It follows the arrest of a man in relation to the murder of Ms. Dullard, who had been unaccounted for for 29 years.
The fifty-year-old man was taken into custody this morning in Co Kildare and is currently being held at a police station inside the county.
Four years ago, the case was changed from a missing people investigation to a murder investigation, and this is the first arrest in the case, reports RTE.
On suspicion of murder, the individual has been placed under arrest.
On wide terrain close to the Wicklow/Kildare border, the hunt is underway, reports RTE.
Over the course of the next day, the Gardaà stated, this piece of land will be searched and subjected to forensic, technical, and excavation tests.
A forensic archaeologist and other specialists have been called in, and the area’s airspace has been limited, reports RTE.
Additionally, two residences have been searched.
The 55-year-old man in detention comes from the border between Kildare and Wicklow.
Because gardaà believe he may have had some communication with Jo Jo Dullard on the night she vanished, he has long been a subject of interest in this investigation, reports RTE.
