Gardai in Co Kerry believe a double murder took place late on Tuesday night when a man, woman and young man’s body were found with gunshot wounds and a firearm nearby.
Gardai were called to the family’s bungalow home at Ballyreahan, between the north Kerry villages of Lixnaw and Kilflynn, shortly after 9pm on Tuesday night.
They found the bodies of a woman in her 60s and her 23-yr-old son. Gardai also found the woman’s partner, a man also in his 60s. His body was at the back of their neighbour’s house with a gunshot wound and a firearm nearby.
It’s believed that all three people had rarely been seen since the start of lockdown and that a number of attempted visits failed.
