
Investigations by gardaĆ in Co Westmeath are ongoing following two fires that occurred at parish churches in Kilbeggan and Castletown Geoghegan.
GardaĆ said they responded to a scene involving criminal damage at a premises in Castletown Geoghegan during the early hours of Friday morning, reports RTE.
They stated they received the alert at approximately 4.30am on Friday morning.
In a separate incident, gardaĆ said they also attended a scene involving criminal damage caused by fire at a church in Kilbeggan on Friday morning, reports RTE.
It is understood that the front doors of both churches sustained damage.
