There are some great news for prospective job seekers this morning, as it has been confirmed that a €200m investment by commercial property group JCD could lead to the creation of 150 new jobs in the Cork region.
JCD has announced plans to build a number of data centres on a 32-acre site in the outskirts of Cork city.
The new facilities are part of larger redevelopment of the former Mitsui Denman site in Little Island.
Up to 150 new permanent jobs would be created, with hundreds more during the construction phase.
The plans are subject to approval
by Cork County Council. JCD has said it can be start building work immediately, once given the green light.”
