A seagull has become a viral sensation recently after staff at a food factory in Wales uploaded a picture showing the bird turned bright orange after it fell into a vat of chicken tikka masala.
It is understood the scavenger bird ended up with a unusual coat colour after it fell into the food factory bin whilst looking scrap pieces of meat on Monday afternoon.
The plucky bird was soon rescued by workers at the factory, before it was soon transfered to Vale Wildlife Hospital near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
It is understood the seagull was returned to its normal white colour after staff washed it with washing up liquid.
According to a local veterinary nurse Lucy Kells: “He really surprised everyone here – we had never seen anything like it before.” “He had fallen into a waste vat of curry that was outside, it was chicken tikka masala. The thing that shocked us the most was the smell. He smelled amazing, he really smelled good. He cleaned up surprisingly well at the hospital, we used washing up liquid a few times.”
The bird, has since become a viral hit and has been given the dubious nickname of Gullfrazie after a number of pictures surfaced on Facebook showing him sporting his unfortunate new look.
