A survey conducted among 900 adults has revealed that, given the choice, most (74%) would rather die at home than in a ‘strange’ environment such as a hospital or hospice bed.
The survey was conducted by the Irish Hospice Foundation. The poll also showed a high level of dissatisfaction with the level of care offered to those who are dying or terminally ill.
