Malawian citizen Ellie Kisyombe is reportedly going to become the first migrant to run for election in Ireland.
It’s understood that Ellie kisyombe will stand for local elections when they take place next May 2019.
Currently living in direct provision, it’s believed one of her objectives is to end direct provision for migrants coming into Ireland.
The single mother is said to be running for the social democrats – a hard left leaning party.
