Four tourists, two Canadians, one Briton, and one Dutch national, were arrested as they were about to board a flight out of Kuala Lumpur, as locals blamed them for angering tribal spirits with their actions and prompting mountain spirits to trigger an earthquake in revenge for such blasphemous act.

Photographs of 10 naked tourists on top of Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia, were circulated on social media after the 6.0 magnitude earthquake that killed 18 people.

Mount Kinabalu is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is considered sacred by the indigenous Kadazan Dusun tribe, who hold beliefs that the mountain is a hallowed resting place for spirits.

The tourists caused great offence with their actions, and they now face up to three months in jail. Local authorities are still looking for the remaining six.

A cleansing ritual is set to be taking place shortly, to rid the mountain of the occidental filth.
