
Following an accident in Limerick on Wednesday night, a motorcyclist lost their life, reports The Mirror.
Shortly before 8 p.m., a motorcyclist collided with another car on the N69 at Cloonreask, prompting the Gardaà and emergency services to the scene.
This morning, the road is still closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical inspection. There are local detours, reports The Mirror.
The Gardaà are urging anyone who saw this event to come forward.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaà are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Askeaton, Co. Limerick yesterday evening, Wednesday, 9 April,” reports The Mirror.
They added: “Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N69 near Askeaton between 7:15pm and 8:15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaÃ. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Newcastle West Garda Station on 069 20650, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station,” reports The Mirror.
