Man (60s) sadly dies and two others injured in Co Wicklow collision

A man in his 60s has died following a road traffic collision in Co Wicklow.

The crash involving two vehicles happened on the R725 at Rath East, Shillelagh, Co Wicklow, on Friday, October 24th, at approximately 6.50pm, reports Breaking News.

The male driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been taken to Naas mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course.

A female driver of the same vehicle was transported to St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow Kilkenny for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, reports Breaking News.

The male driver of the second car was also taken to St Luke’s before being transferred to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have observed the collision to come forward, reports Breaking News.

They have also urged any motorists with camera or dashcam footage who were travelling on the R725 near Rath East between 6pm and 6.50pm on October 25th to share it with investigators.
