Gardaí in Co Donegal have confirmed that a man aged in his 20s has been arrested following a two vehicle collision in Dooballagh, Letterkenny, on Thursday.
It is understood a man aged in his 50s was sadly died in hospital following the collision whilst a woman was seriously injured in which occurred at approximately 7:45pm.
Gardaí say the man travelling a black Toyota Hilux was immediately rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital but sadly he died on Friday afternoon.
They also say the woman who a passenger in a black Mazda is in serious condition in hospital.
It is understood Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 20s after he fled the scene and he is currently being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.
