Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged in his 20s has died following a road traffic incident in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the man was killed after the car he was travelling in collided with a truck in Ballinhassig.
The incident occurred in the Ballyhooleen area at approximatley 1am.
Gardaí say the driver of the truck and a passenger who was in the car were taken Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
