Gardaí in Co Wicklow have confirmed that a man aged in his 30s has sadly died following a paragliding accident on Saturday.
It is understood the man who was reported missing last night after he failed to return home – was found dead at approximatley 8am in a field in Ballinacor Estate.
Gardaí investigating the incident say they also found the wreckage of his equipment at the scene.
It is believed that the man was paragliding on the Wicklow Mountains yesterday afternoon before the accident occurred.
Gardaí say they have notified the Air Accident Investigation Unit and an investigation is underway.
