Gardaí in Co Longford have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 30s has died following a single vehicle collision in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the man was killed after the car he was travelling in collided with a ditch on the R198 just outside Arva at Moyne.
Gardai say the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle and he was sadly pronounced dead at Cavan General Hospital a short time later.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
