Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed a number of times in Ballyfermot this evening.
It is understood the man aged in his 40s was rushed to St James’s Hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Gardaí say the man aged in his 40s managed to make his way to a nearby off-licence following the incident and the alarm was raised.
They added that the scene is closed off in order for a forensic examination to take place and an investigation is currently ongoing.
