Gardaí in Co Galway have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 60s has died following a road traffic incident near Williamstown.
It is understood the man was killed after the vehicle he was driving collided with a pole on the Croaghill road.
Gardai say the man was the sole owner of the vehicle and he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
