Gardaí in Co Sligo have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 60s has died following a two vehicle collision on Tuesday evening.
It is the man died after the jeep he was travelling in collided with a van on the R284 at Jinks Cross, Carraroe at approximately 7pm.
Gardaí say the man was pronounced dead at the scene, whilst the driver of the van was taken to Sligo University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
