Gardaí in Co Waterford have sadly confirmed that a man has sadly died following a farming accident on Tuesday.
It is understood the man aged in his 70s was killed when he suffered serious injuries whilst emptying a septic tank in Ferrybank.
Gardai say the man’s body has since been transferred to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.
They added that the Health and Safety Authority have been notified about the incident and investigation is currently ongoing.
