Gardai in Co Westmeath have confirmed that a man has died following a road traffic collision.
It is understood that the man aged in his 70s was killed following a single vehicle collision in Gainstown area of Mullingar at approximately 7pm on Tuesday night.
Gardai say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
