Police in the North have confirmed that a man and a woman have been arrested after a baby was discovered outside CastleCourt shopping centre, in Belfast City centre.
According to Belfast Live, the pair were arrested after the baby was discovered by bin men at the entrance on Royal Avenue, on Sunday April 7th.
Although it has yet to be determined why the baby was left outside the shopping centre, Belfast Live say a 41-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman have since been charged with child cruelty and have been released on bail.
It is understood the baby was Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, for treatment following the incident.
Police have have since confirmed that the woman received further charges after being found to be in possession of a Class C drug.
