Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation after a man and a woman were rushed to hospital following a stabbing incident on Friday.
It is understood the investigation comes after the pair were involved in an incident which occurred on Cork Street, Macroom, at approximately 12pm on Friday afternoon.
Gardaí say both the man and the woman were taken to Cork University Hospital, but it is believed that their injuries are not life-threatening.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
