A man in his 30’s was allegedly stabbed in Kildare last night. Gardai patrolling the area found the man on Thomas Street in Kildare Town. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to St. James Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
A Garda spokesman said that his condition is understood to be serious but stable.
A man in his 30’s has since been arrested in Newbridge, Co Kildare and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Newbridge Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
