People will see themselves being met with multiple checkpoints around the country if they travel outside of their 5km, the gardai say.
If you want to travel outside the 5km, you have a very small number of reasons that you’ll be allowed to do so. These include, essential visits to the vulnerable, medical only or essential workers.
Inter-county travel is now forbidden as Level 5 restrictions remain until April 12th.
The Covid-19 situation remains in the balance with case numbers up and down on a daily basis.
It’s understood that gardai are now holding multiple checkpoints around the country to enforce what many on social media are describing as “draconian restrictions”.
