Gardaí in Co Louth have arrested a man aged in his 20s following a suspected arson attack outside a Garda Station on Tuesday night.
The arrest comes after Gardai came across two men acting suspiciously at the rear of Garda patrol car which was parked in Dundalk Garda.
It is believed that both men ran from the scene, however one of them was later apprehended by pursuing Garda officers.
Gardaí say he was taken to Dundalk Garda Station and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
