Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation following the discovery of man’s body on Monday.
It is understood the man aged in his 20s was found dead at a farm house in Shanavagoon, Ladysbridge, Co Cork.
Gardaí say the man who had a number of injuries was transferred to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
They added that a man aged in his 20s was arrested at Cobh Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
