A man in the UK has been arrested after eight ambulances had their tyres punctured in two separate incidents in Kent.
The 47-year-old man was detained on suspicion of deliberately causing criminal damage to the badly needed ambulances during the night between March 28 and 29.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance said in relation to the incident that Maintenance staff have been working ‘tremendously hard’ to get the ambulances back on the roads with minimal disruption to service the UK Metro reports.
The spokesman went on to say:
“It is extremely disappointing that an individual would target the ambulance service in this way, at a time when the vast majority of the public have been fantastically supportive of our staff during these difficult times.”
