The public have once again been reminded to adhere to the current Covid-19 restrictions guidelines over the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
Speaking about the issue of travel Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has said the public should limit their travel to as little as possible.
Holohan was responding to queries that suggest that some people are considering to travel to holiday homes over the weekend.
However Holohan said that it is vital that the public follow government guidelines in order to stop the spread of the virus.
He added that the effects of social distancing will show where we stand in tackling the virus.
Although those figures are not expected to be revealed until the end of the week.
