
As part of the inquiry into the death of a lady whose corpse was discovered on properties in County Roscommon earlier this week, a man in his 30s has been taken into custody, reports RTE.

The man is being held at a garda station in the Midlands after being arrested this morning on suspicion of murder.
According to the GardaÃ, he is being detained in accordance with section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, which permits a 24-hour interrogation period, reports RTE.
Over the weekend, Mirjana Pap, a woman in her 50s, was reported missing.
On Monday, December 30, her corpse was discovered on property in Curraghaleen, near the Co Westmeath border.
Ms. Pap, a native of Croatia, has been residing in the Athlone region for a number of years, reports RTE.
She is known to have had several adult children.
She worked locally and was highly recognised, reports RTE.
Last weekend, a missing persons appeal was filed for her.
When gardaÃi discovered the woman’s body in a bog near Clonark in County Roscommon, it was put on hold, reports RTE.
