The incident happened in the Moat Road area of Ballymena at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
Three men entered a property and threatened the male occupant with hammers and a handgun. A large sum of cash was taken, and the raiders made good their escape.
The three men soon discovered that crime does not pay, however, as two of them were apprehended about 45 minutes after the raid, and the third one was caught shortly afterwards.
All three remain in custody.
