The British security minister Ben Wallace, has confirmed that the man behind yesterday’s suspected terrorist incident outside Westminster is a British citizen.
In a brief statement released late last night Mr Wallace confirmed the 29 year old man is a recognised British citizen, but he originally came from another country.
The latest developments come after the man who is currently being detained at a South London police station, drove his car through a group of pedestrians outside the British Parliament building on Tuesday morning.
Although thankfully there were no serious casualties reported after the incident, it is understood a number of people required hospital treatment for minor injuries.
Police investigating the incident which occurred at approximately 7:30am on Tuesday morning say the man is currently being held on suspicion of terror offences.
However the motive for the suspected attack is yet to be determined as counter-terrorism police confirmed
the man is currently not co-operating with investigating officers.
