In relation to a deadly hit-and-run that occurred in County Limerick over the weekend, gardaà are questioning a man in his 40s, reports RTE.
Shortly after noon on Saturday, 21-year-old Marguerita Sheridan was hit by a vehicle at Bank Place in Rathkeale.
After being brought to University Hospital Limerick, Ms. Sheridan passed away there, reports RTE.
As part of the investigation following the hit-and-run, the individual was taken into custody yesterday.
He is being detained at a Limerick garda station.
The gardaà also retrieved a vehicle that was thought to have been connected to the incident, reports RTE.
