A man in his 20s has been charged with attempted murder following a horrific stabbing in Belfast city centre earlier this week.
The 23-year-old assailant was arrested by police after stabbing a man on Thursday night near Belfast High Street.
The man will appeared at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today and is also being charged with possession of class B and C drugs and assaulting a police officer during his arrest.
The 19-year-old victim is reported to be in a stable condition.
Detective Sergeant Conor Sweeney thanked the public for their help and appealed for witnesses to contact police.
