Authorities in Australia have confirmed that a man has died following a shark attack on the West Coast.
It is understood the man who was a diver died after he was attacked near Cull Island on Sunday.
The attack which occurred on the Esperance coast also saw a woman who was found on a dive boat, being taken to hospital for shock.
It is understood that patrols in the area will be increased following the attack which is the first fatality to hit the region in almost three years.
