A man who was dressed as a fairy mascot as part of a performance in a theme part in Japan has died after temperatures soared above 30 degrees celsius.
According to the Daily Mail, Yohei Yamaguchi was working at the theme part in Osaka, Japan for less than half an hour, wearing his uniform which weighed 16kg. Emergency workers were quickly called to the scene but it was too late for the man, who tragically passed away.
A full investigation is said to be underway at the theme park in order to fully determine what caused the man’s death and how similar deaths during heatwaves can be avoided.
