Owner of dead crocodile begins search for people he may have eaten during 50 years

Investigations are taking place in Australia as the owner of a crocodile farm is checking to see if one of their reptiles ever ate a human being.

According to Sky News, a large crocodile called MJ died on the farm owned by John Lever.  When MJ’s body was opened up, Lever found a metal plate inside similar to those fitted to people who have experienced serious injuries or have needed them after an operation.
After making people aware of the plate, Lever has been contacted by many people whose family members disappeared in the past.   Anxious to receive any news of their missing loved ones, they want to know if MJ could have swallowed the plate while it was attached to a human being.
Given that MJ was aged between 50 and 70 when he died, it could take a long time to find out who the plate belonged to.  Investigations are continuing.
