A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital after a shooting incident in the capital on Friday evening.
It is understood that the man was shot twice in the legs while walking along the Belcamp Crescent area of Dublin. The injuries, while serious, are not life-threatening.
The gunman was driven away in a waiting car, believed to be a silver Volkswagen Bora.
