A man in his 40s has tragically died in a house fire in Co Kerry.
The man, named locally as Brian Looney, was found by neighbours at his home near Mountain Stage, Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry yesterday afternoon following the blaze.
Garda investigators believe that the fire may have started in the sitting room of the house but it is not believed the fire was suspicious and an investigation is currently underway at the property.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today.
