A man in his 40s is recovering hospital following a violent stabbing incident in Tullamore on Holy Thursday afternoon.
It is understood that the Armed Support Unit was called to intervene at an altercation in the Arden View area of the town.
A man was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital with suspected stab wounds.
