Gardai in Limerick have sadly confirmed that a man has died following a road traffic collision.
It is understood that the man aged in his 40s was killed following a collision between a car and a lorry on the M7 motorway eastbound at Richill, Lisnagr, at approximately 9pm on Thursday night.
Gardai say the injured man was treated at the scene but he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
They added that no one else was injured in the collision and an investigation is currently ongoing.
