Gardaí have confirmed that a man aged in his 30s has died following a road traffic incident on the M1 motorway in Co Meath.
It is understood the man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle near the Junction 8 exit ramp south of Drogheda at approximately 12.15am.
Gardaí say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the incident.
