A man in his 20s is in hospital with serious injuries today, after an assault in Dublin overnight.
The incident happened in O’Connell St. in the center of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning. The victim was rushed to the Mater Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
It is understood that the man was involved in an altercation with a number of people shortly before the assault took place.
