The husband of a woman who died after being attacked in their Dublin home nearly three years ago has pleaded guilty to her murder, reports RTE.
William Eggers, 62, of Willow Wood Grove in Hartstown, Dublin, was due to stand trial for the murder of his wife Jean Eggers in June 2020. Mrs. Eggers was 57 when she was killed at their home.
As well as being charged with murder, Eggers was accused of producing a samurai sword.
He may now be given a mandatory life sentence after the Court passes sentence on him later in March after hearing evidence and impact statements.
