Shameful: There’s now 3,431 Irish children homeless in Ireland

Homelessness in Ireland has risen to historical records for the seventh month running, yet the Government is still preoccupied with housing refugees.

Official figures say that there are 11,754 people listed as homeless in Ireland. The true figure is likely multiples of that.

The figure includes 8,323 adults and 3,431 children.

The Government appears to be bumbling its way from one crisis to the next, but it remains steadfast in its determination to house as many refugees as possible.

Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien also appears to be adopting the Government’s trademark hands-off approach to any issue, only making himself known at the end of the month to put the cap out.
