A man had to be rushed to hospital following a savage assault in Derry.
The incident happened in the Carlisle Road area of the town on Sunday afternoon.
It is understood that the victim, a male in his 30s, was set upon by a number of other males. He was badly beaten and had to be rushed to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, where he’s in a critical condition.
A 27-year-old male has been arrested in connection with this incident.
