US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has claimed to have ‘significant evidence’ that Covid-19 originated in a Chinese lab, but he was unable to produce any such evidence when pressed by reporters.
Pompeo’s claim comes days after US President Donald Trump made similar remarks, while also being unable to back them up.
US intelligence agencies have so far insisted that there’s no proof whatsoever that Covid-19 was man-made or that it was genetically altered.
