After an alleged attack on three ladies in Co Louth yesterday afternoon, a man is still being held by the garda, reports RTE.
Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act of 1984 is the reason he is being detained.
After being called to an alleged attack at a property in Dundalk’s Glenwood Estate, Gardaí apprehended the man.
It is known that the incident left an elderly woman with brain injuries, reports RTE.
Her health has been characterised as critical at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where she was brought.
For treatment, the two other women were brought to the adjacent Louth County Hospital in Dundalk, reports RTE.
